"Competition" and "Big" Concept
"Competition"... The competition LBD, which has achieved the fastest winding length, has evolved the "competition high gear" by achieving the fastest gear ratio of 7.6 in Daiwa LB history and 114 cm per handle rotation.
"Big fish" - The lineup includes a monster-compatible model (3000XH-LBD) with a gear ratio of 6.8 that maximizes the body rigidity and winding power provided by the "monocoque body," and a power model (3000LBD) with a gear ratio of 5.3.

MONOCOQUE BODY
Strong and durable technology, monocoque body. Conventionally, spinning reels generally supported both ends of the drive gear with the body and body cover, and fixed them with several screws. From this structure, we aimed to further improve precision and rigidity by eliminating the body cover and fixing the monocoque body by screwing a high-precision plate directly into the body. This increases gear support precision, and also improves rigidity and airtightness. Furthermore, we have succeeded in maximizing the size of the drive gear by utilizing the space previously taken up by screws. Monocoque body means MONO (one) - COQUE (shell). The completely new shape, which symbolizes the strength of a mono valve shell, breaks the conventional wisdom of reel construction.
MAGSEALED
DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a magnetic oil wall in the gap between the body and rotor to shut out seawater and dust.
ZAION
DAIWA's unique technology has succeeded in molding a special resin with high density carbon fiber woven into it, which is extremely difficult to process. This is the pinnacle of DAIWA carbon material, combining incredible lightness and strength. Only high-end models are allowed to wear this performance.

The monocoque body provides increased rigidity and the gear support precision is improved, resulting in silky rotation. The non-flexible body and tightly meshed gears provide silky rotation, allowing you to experience comfortable winding.

The larger diameter drive gear improves power and rotation durability. It provides powerful winding during fishing and retrieval, and maintains the initial rotation performance for a long period of time, resulting in the highest level of durability in actual fishing in the history of Impult.
■ Improved waterproofing thanks to screwless monocoque body
The airtightness is improved by the gap-free, screw-free monocoque body, and the use of MagShield (pinion section) has reduced water intrusion into the body, significantly improving the waterproof level.
■ Attention to detail in appearance
To achieve a sophisticated impact with the monocoque body, the 2500XH-LBD, 3000LBD and 3000XH-LBD models emphasize silver, giving them a "mecha"-like impression, while the Competition LBD follows the traditional competition design while emphasizing the red lever, achieving a unique appearance.
■ Smooth reverse free
The monocoque body also improves the rotor's rotation performance during reverse rotation, which is unique to LB reels. The support precision of the spool shaft has been improved to reduce shaking during reverse rotation. The silky rotation is the same during reverse rotation, and the smooth reverse free rotation achieves performance that exceeds that of one-way oscillation.

Adopts the same extra duralumin aluminum machine cut tough digigear special surface treatment as the 22 Tournament ISO ⇒Increases gear surface hardness, reducing deflection that occurs under high load. Equipped on all items.
■ Enlarged drive gear

■ Drive gear thickness increased
By installing a thicker drive gear than before, the deflection that occurs under high load is reduced ⇒ Realized increased strength. The Kyogi LBD is equipped with a drive gear that is 9% thicker than the conventional one, and the 2500/3000 are equipped with a drive gear that is 13% thicker than the conventional one. Furthermore, the 3000 size, which is used for fishing that puts more strain on the body, is equipped with a drive gear that is 3% thicker than the conventional one (left: 24 Impult, right: 20 Impult).
■ Comparison of old and new bodies
The body area is almost the same as the 20 Impult (99%). It is now possible to mount a larger drive gear (gear area 106%) for the same body area ⇒ More power.
■ Evolution of Drag Ratchet
The new ratchet structure makes the drag sound louder and improves operating response.
